Barb stayed in with Jim all night and says he slept well between 3:30 and 6:30 this morning. The traction went well, and they began taking weight early this morning.
We just got an update from the doctors, and apparently a spot opened up in the surgeon's schedule earlier in the day than they initially thought, so Jim is being prepped for surgery right now and will head in around 9 a.m.
As we said yesterday, the surgery can take between three and 10 hours, so he should be out of that by around 7 tonight. We'll do our best to update you as soon as we know more.
